Eva is the female embodiment of the word ‘Pioneer’. From real estate and international trade to small business and commercial involvement - she has had a hand in influencing corporate protocol while provoking cross-cultural opportunities and economic development in Canada. Her insight can be partly attributed to her commendable experience on multiple boards. Eva is a former board director for Bank of Montreal, B.C. Progress Board, Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation, Coca-Cola, AT&T, Air Canada, B.C. Women’s Hospital and Health Centre Foundation, and the Vancouver Board of Trade (to name a few). This Champion defies the statistics of the number of women on boards, which in turn, fuels her commitment to ridding gender stereotypes that professional women still encounter. With her former experience in academia, progressing from Assistant, to Associate, to Professor, to Dean, to President of SIAST, Eva now pursues an entirely different career path in land development and strategic partnerships with diversified interests. By foregoing the traditional idea of advancing in only one career, once again, this woman is setting innovative trends. Join us as Eva shares her experience about excelling as a woman in male-dominated professional settings; she will inspire you to shatter typecasts and the glass ceiling alike.
